Thank you for our breakfast, little (big!) red hen.

Friends at the "Farm"

We had some sweet visitors today - they loved Trinket, Trinket loved them, and Sam (the dog) loved everyone.

Six

Six days, six eggs, one hen... what are we gonna do when the other eight start laying?! Eggs unending!

Hat.

I very loosely sewed some gears onto my hat - they can easily be removed, but are definitely fun to have on it, too.

Clock Bits

I hope to keep adding to my collection - I use them for making art.

Being Free.

I made this for my daughter's art room. I didn't say anything to her about it, and when she came home from school, I found her standing perfectly still, studying it with all of her seven-year-old might. I said, "Do you understand what this means?" She nodded, and replied, "It meas that when I make art, I should make it however I want."
YES, child. Yes.

What. It was chilly.

Hee. Heeheehee. HEEHEEHEE!!!!

Peeps and an Egg!

The two white ones are Ameraucanas, the black one lays olive eggs, the funny-looking one is a Silkie, and last is our red hen's second egg.

Vegetable Garden!

Yesterday, I planted seedlings and a TON of seeds. Hope they turn into yummy things. Tomatoes, squash, potatoes, carrots, radishes, green beans, eggplant, cucumber, zucchini, onions, and I put marigolds in there to be friends with the tomatoes.

Chickens!

My husband also surprised me by bringing home NINE chickens, along with the baby goat. The large red hen laid her first egg yesterday, and it was beautiful and big and brown. (Not pictured are the four baby chickens - 2 Ameraucanas, one black one, and one Silkie.)
This little backyard homestead makes me so happy!

Trinket!

My husband surprised me with a baby goat last weekend - I named him Trinket. He is now four weeks old, still on a bottle, and he thinks I'm his mom.
